Friday Night Meets are where our athletes get to put their training into action! Athletes compete at centre level alongside others in their own age group, with the focus on participation, skill development, having fun, and achieving their own Personal Bests (PBs). Whether it's your first season or your tenth, every improvement is worth celebrating.

Each age group is supported by an Age Group Coordinator. This volunteer role is filled by a parent or guardian from that age group and plays an important part in helping Friday Meets run smoothly by organising the group, communicating important information, and supporting athletes throughout the evening.
At the beginning of each season, we ask for a volunteer to self-nominate as Age Group Coordinator. If no one volunteers, a coordinator will be allocated at random from the parents or guardians within that age group to ensure the group can participate.

As a community-run club, every age group must have an Age Group Coordinator before athletes in that age group can compete at Friday Night Meets. This shared responsibility allows our centre to operate safely and gives every athlete the opportunity to enjoy a fun and successful season.

Many parents are surprised by how rewarding the role is, and you won't be expected to do it alone—our committee and experienced volunteers are always happy to help.
